A new series I am calling “Every Day Diaphanous” consists of vessels that are light, translucent, fragile, affected- yet able to exist and perform as expected. They are capable of being a cup, a bowl, a vase, a votive, but must be treated with care and attention.

First image is what the piece looks like when internally, or back lit. Second image is regular lighting

porcelain (my recipe mixed in-studio), fired to cone 11 in a gas kiln

unglazed exterior, glazed interior. vitrified. will hold fluid.
